What is SyncClipper?
SyncClipper is a real-time clipboard synchronization tool that lets you securely share your clipboard between multiple devices using a session code. It works in your browser and as a Chrome extension—no complex setup required.
How do I start a sync session?
Click Start Sync. A unique session ID will be generated automatically. You can copy this ID or scan a QR code to connect other devices to the same session.
How do I join a session from another device?
On the other device, click Join Session and enter the session ID, or scan the QR code if available. Your device will be automatically paired and clipboard sync will begin immediately.
How do I use the Chrome extension?
Install the SyncClipper Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. Once installed, join a session on the website, and the extension will automatically sync your clipboard. Use Ctrl+Shift+S to manually sync clipboard content from any webpage.
Is my clipboard data secure?
Yes, your data is secure. Clipboard content is only shared between devices in the same session and is temporarily stored during active sessions. All data is automatically deleted when sessions expire, and no personal information is collected.
Can I leave or stop a session?
Click Stop Session to end your session. This will disconnect all devices and automatically remove all session data from our servers. You can also simply close your browser—sessions expire automatically.
What platforms are supported?
SyncClipper works on any device with a modern web browser. The Chrome extension is specifically designed for Chrome/Chromium browsers on desktop and mobile devices. More browser extensions are planned for the future.
Who can see my clipboard?
Only devices that you explicitly connect to your session using the session ID or QR code can access your clipboard data. Sessions are private and isolated—no one else can join without your session ID.
Do I need to create an account?
No account required! SyncClipper works with temporary sessions only. Simply start a session, share the ID with your devices, and begin syncing. No emails, passwords, or personal information needed.
How long do sessions last?
Sessions remain active as long as you're using them. They automatically expire after a period of inactivity or when you explicitly stop the session. All clipboard data is automatically cleaned up when sessions end.
